PERKINS ROWE restaurants include:  Texas de Brazil, Kona Grill, The Grape, The Loft, Fish City Grill, Le Madelaine and California Pizza Kitchen Camelia Grill of N.O. is coming!  (the streets and courtyard have a really nice atmosphere overlooking a large outdoor fountain & lots of fun shops to browse and shop. Le Mad and CPK are my current & quick lunchtime faves.)

Louisiana Lagniappe (great reviews for seafood & more)

Boutin's (cajun food and dancing)

I also recommend some of my favorites nearby....

Albasha  (Lebanese- Greek- "hands down best Lebanese tea and hummus. Try the Stuffed Meat Plate.. bellpepper, squash, cabbage & grapeleaves; 4 types of vegetables stuffed with seasoned beef & rice baked in a light red sauce with grecian sauce on the side. And the Fatoosh salad if you've never tried it.  I always substitute the grapeleaves for hummus. Huge plates of food enough for two or enjoy the leftovers!")

Romans  (Lebanese -Greek- "love the vegetarian platter, spinach filo & they bake their pita bread FRESH and you can sure tell!")

La Tiendita/ El Sol de Guerrero ("authentic Mexican food" They have daily specials.  You choose your meat in each dish... I like the steak, pork and a shredded beef called barbecoa or something like that.)

Brew-Bachers Grill ("Try their homemade chicken andouille gumbo, the grilled chicken poboy called the Birdie and fresh "from scratch" lemon cake. This is THE location to go to since they have a lady who's a great cook!")

TJ Ribs (oh boy was I excited to visit the new location on Siegan! The babyback ribs cannot be beat!  I didn't even LIKE ribs till I had TJ's!  They are so fall-off-the-bone tender and lean because they trim the fat prior to cooking.)

Sake Cafe (
Located on the Boulevard across from Borders Bookstore; behind Mall of LA.   They make some of my favorite sushi here.  Yes, I'm a light-weight and prefer the cooked variety.  Try the Rock & Roll.. it's huge.  I ask them to slice it thin.  They also have great lunch prices.  For about 6 bucks you pick 2 rolls and a soup or salad.)

J. Alexanders (I adore the Sides such as Orzo and Wild Rice, Tequila Beans and Southern Coleslaw.  Sometimes it's just too easy to pick up a pint of each to bring home.  Perimeter of the Mall of LA)
